Growing in Grace

I need to develop godly attitudes.

A) Pray for godly attitudes in general & certain attitudes in particular.

B) Ask others to pray the same thing for you.

C) Repeat the attitude to help it sink in. Do this in conjunction with A & B!

Attitudes.

1. Demanding mercy while showing no mercy is to exalt yourself.

2. Lord, grant me Your wisdom so I will know when I should be merciful.

3. Lord, make me quicker to be merciful than to demand mercy.

I need to grow in prayer.

A great way to do this is to learn to pray the Bible. Pray this prayer until you can pray without reading:

A prayer based on James 2:8-13

Holy God, You are good, true and just. Without Your mercy offered in the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ, I would still be in bondage and without hope. Please grip me afresh with Your mercy so that I will be merciful and free. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

I need to get God’s word in my mind and heart.

“For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become guilty of all of it.” James 2:10
